Ceramics - the slow process / Keramika - lēns process

Would you like to take a look into the process my ceramics are made? Here you go! / Vai vēlies ieskatīties procesā, kurā top mana keramika? Te tas ir!

First of all my items are sculpted using my hands and very simple tools. Usually - at our kitchen table. / Vispirms tā tiek veidota, izmantojot rokas un ļoti vienkāršus instrumentus. Parasti - pie mūsu virtuves galda.

Than they have to dray, the bigger items - even for weeks. I place them on our kitchen window so they get as much sun as possible. The picture is lost somewhere in my computer. Sorry! Atvainojos! :)

When they are completely dry they have to be packed very carefully to take them to the potter for kilning because of their fragility. The kilning takes about a day. After cooling up they have to be packed again for taking them back home being lesser but still fragile. After kilning they look like that.

At home I'm waiting for a good day light to paint one part of my ceramics with acrylic paints. Mostly it looks like this. Thank goodness the paints are based on water.

Than one part of them is varnished with a water based varnish.

Now they have to dry again to be ready to go to the owners. The unvarnished items are backed before it to enhance the durability of the paint.
