My Creative Space

The last weeks have been really productive for me, but I didn't show you my creative space for a while, because I still can't post good images. Now, a dear Facebook friend has sent out a card reader for the great professional photo camera my daughter in law gave me. So I hope, in a couple of weeks, you will be able to see proper images on my blog again :)

As I'm up to the challenge of creating (preferably finishing) A Piece A Week in 2013, I decided to show you at least some of the creations I have worked at lately.

I'm decorating papier-mache apples and their boxes for an auction organized by "Will Go Where" - a non-profit organization in the US, that helps teachers take their students on amazing educational trips through funding and mentoring. This is the first set. Could be finished.

Then, I have finished this small painting inspired by a class with Tamara Laporte. A Facebook friend from Germany wanted to buy it (sorry for the tiny font: blogger has been naughty on me again :( )

And I have worked at a pretty large mixed media piece I call "Transition", as I started it in the last week of 2012, but finished in the first week of 2013. As we almost don't have daylight here for now, the shots with my daughter's smartphone are just catastrophic. I promise to show it to you as soon, as I can upload better images.

And, yesterday, I started and finished this tiny (10x10 cm) painting thinking about Valentines day :)

You have been very busy, Rita. I adore the apple decoration - looks absolutely real! Your other pieces are gorgeous - love the little bird and yes, we must begin to think about Valentines day! (Yikes). Can't wait until you get your camera in full operation. :o) Donna
