Baby Steps

After months of not touching any art supplies, I'm starting to add color to my plain and boring diary pages and doing it more or less every day.

Nothing fancy, just playing with water soluble soft pastels and acrylic varnish. But it's a start, right? :)

The pages have a lovely antique look to them. It's the baby steps that lead to great things! :)

How cool to see you painting your diaries. As a small child, the first thing I were allowed to do was to paint in my mum and aunts old school books. They both have a loopy handwriting, and I colored in every loope in different colors. Thanks for bringing back that memory!

Color helps the words flow. Often, when I'm painting I'll just paint blank pages with leftover paint and that helps when I'm writing. Thanks for sharing your pages.
