My fresh shop on etsy and discounts / Mans jaunais veikaliņš etsy un atlaides

Two weeks ago I opened a new shop on etsy. It's a special place to sell sea treasures found by me and my family on the beach of the Baltic sea. I'm thinking of reselling some of my destash beads and other supplies. My oldest son made the banner for it similar to my other shop banners. The first page is almost filled. I try to list new stones every day. This week it was on the esty front page and now four of my beautiful pendant stones are on their way to a customer in the US. There are some discounts in this as in my other online shops:

ZERO SHIPPING FEE FOR ADDITIONAL ITEMS FROM ANY OF MY SHOPS!
(even on Dawanda or Zibbet when purchased and payed on the same day)

10% DISCOUNT FOR RETURNING CUSTOMERS!

and a special one only in this shop:

FREE SAMPLER WITH EVERY PURCHASE!

PIRCĒJIEM NO LATVIJAS VISA PIEGĀDE BEZ MAKSAS!

10% ATLAIDE PIRCĒJIEM, KAS MANOS VEIKALIŅOS IEPĒRKAS ATKĀRTOTI!

Un īpaša atlaide tikai šajā veikaliņā:

BEZMAKSAS PARAUDZIŅI TIEK PIEVIENOTI KATRAM PIRKUMAM!

Ceramics - the slow process / Keramika - lēns process

Would you like to take a look into the process my ceramics are made? Here you go! / Vai vēlies ieskatīties procesā, kurā top mana keramika? Te tas ir!

First of all my items are sculpted using my hands and very simple tools. Usually - at our kitchen table. / Vispirms tā tiek veidota, izmantojot rokas un ļoti vienkāršus instrumentus. Parasti - pie mūsu virtuves galda.

Than they have to dray, the bigger items - even for weeks. I place them on our kitchen window so they get as much sun as possible. The picture is lost somewhere in my computer. Sorry! Atvainojos! :)

When they are completely dry they have to be packed very carefully to take them to the potter for kilning because of their fragility. The kilning takes about a day. After cooling up they have to be packed again for taking them back home being lesser but still fragile. After kilning they look like that.

At home I'm waiting for a good day light to paint one part of my ceramics with acrylic paints. Mostly it looks like this. Thank goodness the paints are based on water.

Than one part of them is varnished with a water based varnish.

Now they have to dry again to be ready to go to the owners. The unvarnished items are backed before it to enhance the durability of the paint.

More creative spaces in Kootoyoo's blog

Changes of my workspace

I have got the old Mac from my oldest son with a huge old monitor and had to reorganize my main working space. At the beginning it all looked like this. :)

Than my son bought me some new shelves.

I made good use of them and on this moment could start to work again (some stuff still in my bed :).

My greatest helper to become friends with the Mac. The oldest one could not stay long enough to teach me so he taught the youngest one. :)
