Thursday

Artistic Challenges

It's the last day of May, so it's really time to show, what I've accomplished for the Creative Color Challenge . Here you go: one fairy tree almost finished...
... and some more in the works.
And some more paintings started in the given palette, but than other colors added.

And this is, how I feel about artistic challenges with a given palette or object:
- on one side, they keep me going, t.i., arting, trying out something I might not without them,
- on the other side, the more planning, the less freedom, the less fun and productivity for me :(

So I'm happy and thankful for the ones I've participated in, especially - for the 29 faces challenge, but I'm happy they are over and might not participate in them any more...

As Thursday is the day of Creative Spaces jump over to this site and be ready for an inspirational blast!

Faces - #21 of 29 and other news

My face for today is another work in progress: an image starting to emerge from a background created for the creative color challenge hosted by Louise Gale.

The other news:
* as you see, I have changed the name of my site, as I really start to believe in me as an artist, who can add value to other people's lives with her work
* in addition to my first Facebook page devoted to my crafts, yesterday, I created a new one for my fine arts
* I'm pretty clear about seriously starting to offer prints of my works through www.deviantART.com

Thank you so much, all my dear friends all over the world, for all the support I have already received and, am sure, will experience in future! Your feedback is always welcome!

My Creative Space - Color Challenge Yellow

There is a creative color challenge hosted by Louise Gale on her site. The color for April is mustard yellow. As I really like yellow, the color of sun, daffodils, dandelions, and bananas, I wanted to participate. Unfortunately, this month was pretty stressful for me, so I completely forgot about the color challenge. Yesterday, I received an e-mail from Louise, that there is a wrap up open to link to our creations. But I had nothing to show!
But than I thought: hey, it's still April, isn't it? So I grabbed a piece of water color paper and my so far unused dandelion stencil, and started to play! I challenged myself even more and decided to use only this one particular stencil! For now, it's just a piece of decorated paper, but who knows, what it will become some day... And I had so much fun creating it! Thank you so much, Louise!
To see other challenge entries visit the wrap up post and/or the Flickr group. Feeling inspired? It's still April! That means, you can still catch the last train and join the fun!
