Last week, I worked at 20 cards for a swap, whenever I had the energy and inspiration for that. Not to spoil the surprise for the receivers of them, I can show you only one A3 sheet with the first layers down on it before cutting, so you can get an idea about the style and technique.
And there is one more fun thing going on in my creative space: Deruta is visiting me this week. Fancy to know, who she is? Visit this blog and see yourself!

My Creative Space - Knitting and More Happies
I'm really pleased with my last week!
A couple of projects are finished:
- a pair of knitted socks for Maisy
- a baby hat for her sister Jacqueline
- a pair of colorful hand warmers for Carol
Sorry, no pictures! Don't want to ruine the surprise for the girls!
And 2 huge lots of great new supplies are received:
And this treasury I received a couple of weeks ago from Sonja in Serbia - my partner in this swap. Just had forgotten to show it to you :)
I really love doing swaps! Only the blind ones have never worked for me. So, if you have an idea about a swap we could do, please, drop me a line at ritajc[at]inbox[dot]lv
For now, I'm knitting this pumpkin hat, my daughter wants to have for Halloween.

Sunshine in the Mail Swap - Rita Has a Happy!!! :D
I know, I know, every day is just great, no matter what you feel, and such. But yesterday was one of the days, it wasn't hard to believe it at all, although it started with rain and me forgetting the umbrella and ended with my son saying: "A stupid story", when I finished to read a part of "The Mastery Of Love" by Don Miguel Ruiz to him before he fell asleep. (Thank goodness, I could just smile and say: "Good night, sweetie!") There were cooking, letting my bones to be checked, delivering a package to the post office, shopping and conducting a workshop in the town in between. And I'm still tired from it all, but there is one more thing, that made me feel really "sunshine and roses and lollipops" and stand up at 7 and start today with arting in my journal: I received a love package from my adorable Sunshine in the Mail Swap partner Yana Riethmuller.
When I opened the box, there was a WOW! and a pity to tear up all the package made with so much love and taste.
And there were even more WOW!z and appreciation, when I started to open them one by one. It felt so overwhelming great to be spoiled rotten by a person I don't know personally and didn't have any contacts to even online before this swap :D
And right away, I started a spread in my journal to use some pieces of the packaging and to capture these wonderful feelings awoken by a couple of small things made and packaged with great love.
Today, I'm still working on it and still feeling great. The wording for now: The Unexpected (that I'm mostly afraid of like: swaps mostly doesn't work for me, what if this doesn't, too?) can be the Great. :) Sorry for the bad images, there is not much of light here today: the rest of the tropical storm Katia has reached us. Thank goodness, today, when I can stay inside, and not yesterday, when I had to go to the town. :)
Thank you so much, Sheree and Yana! To say this swap worked for me, would mean to say nothing! :)
Wishing you all a great day with loads of unexpected great feelings and experiences! Cheers!

My Creative Space - Card Swap
Last week, I was mostly working at two love projects: Crochet a Rainbow and Valentine's Card Swap. The cards were finished and shipped yesterday, the granny squares I want to make for now will be finished soon. As they are accepted the whole year long, some more might be made, when these will be shipped already :)

Hilary Hahn aka PinkPianos aka AdornDesign
Hilary Hahn is my first partner in the Shop Swap & Blog action.
Look, what I've got from her!
Hillary about herself:
I grew up in Kentucky and have lived abroad in France. I currently live and work in Los Angeles, a city of dreams. I decided to start my own business adorndesign so that I could share more of what I love to create as an artist.
My blog allows me to reflect on projects and collaborate. Through my Pink Pianos site I connect with more artists and find stay inspired. I love to paint and design and this serves as a window into that world.
My Twitter profile page is http://twitter.com/AdornDesign, lots of friends follow me there.
In two years, I'd like to be selling my art. In five, designing artful places. Ten years? ... whoa that's a long time from now!
I love India and have aspirations of one day designing interiors there too.
Current projects include lots of vintage furniture restoration.
At present my favorite online shop is Namolio, although I constanly mark favorites on Etsy, I keep going back there for a visit.
P.S. Sorry for the strange size of the pictures but blogger is spiteful to me today again. :)
