What's Happening In Rita's World

 You might not have heard from me for some time.

That's because things have been changing in my world quite a bit and I was lacking clarity about what to post, especially after Facebook and Instagram completely banned any links from blogger blogs.

But now, a new website is in the makings and even more than that.

In this week's Conversation in the Light I shared more about what's happening in my world right now and part of my history.

The year long program I am talking about in the video is called My Million Dollar Experiment.

And the book is The One Book Millions Method  by Mike Shreeve.

My New Life Begins

After listening to this recording with Jim Rohn I realized, what I have been doing at least for the last couple of decades: creating the final part of this lifetime that might bear the title "My Poor Old Age".

And I have been extremely successful at that.

Sitting with that recording, I decided to choose a different story for the coming years of this life.

I am not really sure about the title yet, but the direction is clear for me: a prosperous and deeply satisfying last part of this lifetime for myself and the world a better place for the generations to come.

The first step that I took was jointing a unique certification course at the Entrepreneur Institute and making the first of  the 12 payments for it.

It started today and is resonating completely with my longing to organically combine deep spirituality with successful entrepreneurship.

I still have more than 2 weeks to experience it and to drop out if it doesn't feel right to stay.

But, for now, I am expecting it to work and bring desired changes into my experience.

And make the whole world a more harmonious and enjoyable place by the ripple effects of that.

Since the beginning of the year, the main focus of my journey has been on the transformation of my relationship with money and business.

Lots of old wounds and beliefs have been making this relationship a constant battle field and roller coaster for decades.

Lots have healed and transformed already during these past 6 months.

Now, it feels like I have stepped into a parallel universe with a very different me and circumstances I create.

Feels rather scary but very exciting at the same time. And I'm really curious about what comes next.

Five days ago I purchased 2 new domain names, paid for one year of website hosting, and engaged my youngest son in creating a new blog for me.

As soon as it is active, I will invite you to follow me over there and become part of my journey into this new expansion of consciousness.

The Fear Of Growth

Last week, I stumbled upon this article by Ravi Mattu from ft.com.

It touches one of the fears entrepreneurs experience, when starting out:

What if the business grows (and I kind of want that) too fast?

Ravi Mattu words it like this:

"Setting up a company is hard. You need to come up with a business plan, find investment, sort out legal and regulatory issues and then find enough customers or clients to pay the bills. And that is just the start.

But what happens when a company grows? It requires more structure and processes, making it harder to remain nimble and innovative. This is especially the case in the internet age, when companies can scale up so quickly that it is hard to manage the process."

About the power of NOW and enjoying the moment

It’s one of those rare British summer afternoons ... warm, sunny, with such a beautiful light, with lots of brilliant flowers waving in the garden in the afternoon breeze ..... The truth is that all of these are here year in and year out but I rarely paid attention to them.



.... I was way to busy, rushing around.... worrying about past, future, arranging meetings, postponing meetings, doing, doing, doing.

Now I’m learning to enjoy the moment more, to open my eyes and really, really see that life is actually a series of NOW(s) and realizing that each NOW is valuable.





Earlier today, I decided to hold my business planning session with myself .... not in my office at home but ... in a coffee shop on the beach front, about 30 minutes walk away from the house along the seafront promenade.



As a reformed workaholic I have to say that this was a good thing for me.

What stopped me from doing this before? Nothing and nobody! Nobody but myself and my own limiting belief about what looked and seemed right or not.

I wonder in what areas of your life you are actually the person standing in the way of a positive or creative change in your life?



I’m inviting you to ... try something new today ... I’m inviting you to take a break and ....remind yourself of the things you are grateful for at this very moment. You can doodle about this, write your thoughts down, record them by taking photos on your iphone, sketch ..... Why not create a habit of this .... and create a “Gratitude journal”.

All Those Who Wander Are Not Lost - J.R.R. Tolkien

It's summer in the North hemisphere, usually - a pretty slow time in the usual meeting places. So I decided to invite guest posters to my blog, to add some fun here :)

Meet the first one of them: Meg from Wonderland!

I wonder and I wander.

And I wondered while wandering... if I was the only one.

That couldn't be right, there most be more people out there like me. Who want to create with a SOUL-purpose.

So I looked and I found them here and there shouting quietly with their pens and paint brushes.

Shouldn't there be a place where we could all be together, to connect, to not feel so alone.

But I didn't find this place.... what other choice did I have but to create it.

And WONDERLAND was born.

And I waited, and waited and only a few people came, like sitting at the biggest Tea Party expecting hundreds of people and only a handful showing up.

So I put this little dream in my back pocket too delicate to let out, to be disappointed about.

Then, after losing so much in my life, death of a friend, loss of job, loss of my mans job, no money, no prospects and nothing left in the void but fear. I tried again.

And they came.....and I cried... I still break down into to tears over the beauty of all of it.

And we are all Wonderers and Wanderers who can be together and not feel so all alone. We can meet and support and collaborate in WONDERLAND.

....and I am happy.

Do We Need To Be More Productive?

2 Great Calls

Today, I had 2 great calls and both - for free:

1. The first Coaching 101 Teleclass with Nick Bosk from the International Coach Academie .

2. The Target Market Zoomer Call with Joni Zander.

Both were great! What these experienced coaches shared with me and the steps they suggested, made me feel really confident about the path I'm on right now and about my next steps!

I feel so grateful!

Moving Forward and Loving It!

Like I mentioned, I'm starting a new business as a life and business coach. Every day, I'm moving forward as much as possible and loving every minute of it!

Just had a wonderful coaching conversation with a lovely friend and entrepreneur, that was really fulfilling for both of us!

After reading of this article by Denise Duffield-Thomas, I'm really concentrating on decluttering and discovering more and more things I can let go!

For 3 days, I participated in a webinar with Michael Port and, now, I have so many great practical ideas, how to move forward even faster! YAY!

Loads of Pondering

The last week has been full of deep pondering for me, as I am trying to figure out my path at least for the next couple of years.

I had my first couple of sessions as a life coach. Really loved them, and the clients seemed to feel much happier and be much more focused and productive after our conversations. One of them said: "This conversation made me very sad and joyful! (We worked with her grief.) It was positive!" The sessions are free for now. There are still many decisions to make, before my new business is launched, but I am working on it every day and most definitely moving forward. And my Soul Art piece is helping me a huge load. As some of you know, I started it 10 days ago. It has changed more or less every day since then, and this is how it looks now. I call her my inner Mother Goddess.

These are some of the phases it went through.

The Soul Art process has revealed to me so many things about me and the question I wanted to get the answer to! I would really love to become a Soul Art certified guide, but there are so many other techniques I want to learn and get certified at. Decisions, decisions... :)

One of them is about the place of fine art in my life in the next future. If it is meant to be a business, I have to work more on the commercial side of it. But where to get the time and energy for that, if I am launching a whole new other business already? If it stays just a hobby, I have to stop investing so much in it and, most probably, going to the public studio. The place of that studio in my life is unclear in general. The atmosphere is wonderful and the mentor is really inspiring and supporting! But, as he says, he has almost nothing to teach me, as he sees me as a mature artist. And working in the studio makes the creating process unnatural and pretty hard for me. As we live outside the town, it takes time and money to get there. Mostly, we have chores to do before the studio time and I arrive there tired already. And, then, I feel this pressure to paint even though I might not feel, what the painting wants, because that is the "studio time" and I have payed for it. After those 3 hours, I feel dead tired and, sometimes, not happy with what I have added to my work at all. Then, I have to get home and get back to the studio the next day for another 3 hours (still tired from the previous day), because those are the times it is open. What comes naturally to me, is living with a painting for the time it is being created and adding to it when I feel what it wants. Mostly, it takes me weeks and a huge number of short sessions to channel something to the canvas. Another thing I miss in the studio are my supplies. I love to have them all around me to pick the one that feels right at any given moment . It's impossible to take them all to the studio, as we don't have a car and my son has to carry them on his back. And it's such a stress every time to gather them and to predict what I could need over there... For now, I am still going to it to keep company to my son, who needs to prepare for the enrollment exams into the art school but doesn't feel confident enough in the town yet. Decisions, decisions...

Anyway, this is the first piece I created in the studio.

A couple of weeks ago, I started the largest piece ever over there (100x80 cm), as usually, with a layer of collaged paper scraps. These are some of the stages it went through so far. It has loads of circles in it, and, at one point, I covered it almost completely with a layer of the Chalkboard spray from The Tattered Angels Paint System.

This is, how it looks right now and I have no idea, what it wants.

To be honest, I liked all the previous layers better, than the current one, but that is nothing new for my creative process, right? The piece might be next to being finished. :D

I know, I know, the post turned out pretty huge. I would really love to make many small posts instead, thought about it every day, but couldn't bring me to it. Have no idea why.

Business Boot Camp and Painting Again

Last week felt pretty much like a creative business boot camp, as I continued to work through the book by Jennifer Lee and listened to one business guru after another, tried to figure out my unique expertise and the best ways to serve with it using the Soulcollage and other tools. For now, I just continue to discover more and more gifts and have no idea, how to make them all work together... I hope, it's just a phase, and I can figure it out with time and perseverance. Yesterday, I listened to an interview with Flora Bowley, and she mentioned a span of 18(!!!) years between her starting to consider herself an artist and the flourishing business she has now. The thing is, I don't have 18 years. I'm almost 55 and need to feed me, my 2 youngest kids, and animals now. That makes me take almost every job I can get, although they don't provide me with serious income and slow down my process of figuring out a better way of life. Besides, working as a freelancer doesn't give me much control over our life, as the offers come in, as they do, sometimes - one a week or even less, sometimes - 4 at once, as it happened today. :) But enough about that!

I didn't think I'd take any more art courses, but the Strathmore Artist Papers offer some for free, so I signed up for the class with Robert Joyner. And the second video brought me back to painting, which felt really good after quite a while.

My Creative Space - Inside Work

Last week was pretty much different form most of my weeks. The situation with the translation jobs didn't get better. But my oldest son sent us some money, so it will be easier to survive for some time. phew! :)
And we got to see the first two images of my super cute granddaughter. I have always had a soft spot for babies, but this little girl just stole my heart right away :) And I'm really thankful to her parents, who decided to have her, although their circumstances aren't easy at all right now.
On Tuesday, I visited my mom in the town, who had her name day, and could show her the first portraits of our little precious princess as well (she's reluctant to start using the computer by herself).

Last week was different in my studio as well: I haven been creative in a different way as on most weeks. I was and still am participating in 2 free video summits: The Right-Brainers in Business Video Summit and The Foreignator Summit. Each day is packed full with great ideas for creative entrepreneurs, new contacts, and really great discussions. In addition, I bought the Kindle version of the book The Right Brain Business Plan by Jennifer Lee and started to work through it, and this is, what I have created so far :)

Honestly speaking, I'm a bit stuck with it. Firstly, because I'm not sure, what kind of business I want to develop right now. And, secondly, because some of the most important assignments are connected with creating collages out of magazine images, and that is a huge challenge to me. I have never liked images in magazines, catalogues and junk mail because of the false and kind of plastic-y look of them. As they are used in many soul searching exercises, I decided to give them a serious try this time trusting my intuition in the process. Besides, I signed up for a Soulcollage course a couple of weeks ego, that works with those images as well. So, for the last couple of days, I'm thumbing through all kinds of commercial stuff and gathering images. And I have to say, I'm getting into it bit by bit and even starting to enjoy it. So, my pile of images is growing.

Today, I even managed to put together my first Soulcollage card and really liked the result :)

It is quite different for me to work at this side of my life than to create something art or crafts related, but I get so much encouragement and support from other entrepreneurs participating in the summits and have this deep feeling of the right moment for it (Mercury retrograde), that I'm working like mad and really pushing me forward. Today, I didn't even notice any afternoon energy drop and need for a nap or coffee. Thank goodness, it isn't recommended to make any decisions until the 13th of March. So I can really enjoy the process without feeling guilty for not making any decisions :)
